In order to get the most out of your professional photoshoot with Little Images it pays to be prepared. Here are five quick tips to help you out.

1. Organise your wardrobe
Think about a few outfits you like best. Try select complimenting colours that work best with skin tone. A few outfits will add variety giving you a larger selection to choose from.

2. Props
Have a look through our photo galleries and albums and make a note of any props or settings you like. If we know the scenes and settings you want we can be prepared and have them ready to go. Saves time on the day which is handy especially if you are working with younger children (they have trouble sitting still at the best of times)!

3. Pick your time wisely
You know your photography subject(s) better than anyone. Pick the time of day that is the most tranquil and relaxed. You will get more photo opportunities and they will enjoy the outting so much more. If you want professional photos annually (or more frequently) you want to make it a fun experience.

4. Keep an audience to a minimum
It can be great fun to watch a photoshoot, but, the more people in the room, the more distractions there are. Keep your audience to a minimum – remember – you can do show and tell with the photos once they have been taken!

5. Have a little fun
The more natural and light hearted the mood the more amazing the finished photos will be. Stay away from the stiff, posed styles. A natural giggle makes the eyes shine and that is what you will want!

It is a great idea to chat with your photographer before the shoot also – they are a wealth of information and can help you get the very most out of your time with them.
